Therapists working for ‘Child in Time’ come from a variety of backgrounds. We currently have art therapists, child psychotherapists, play therapist and child/adolescent counsellors on our team.
Our therapists often divide their time between private practices, National Health Services and School-based work. Some of us have a background in teaching and are particularly aware of the pressures that children with significant emotional needs can put on the whole school.
If you are looking for a referral for private therapy, we are able to refer to a small pool of therapists most of whom are working online. We also have an online parent support service for parents looking to develop their own understanding of their children or specific issues. These are occasional or time-limited sessions. Please contact chloe@childintime.co.uk.
All therapists are qualified and have been trained by organisations offering recognised accreditation for counsellors/therapists. Two of the leading accrediting bodies are the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Art Therapists will be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. All counsellors/therapists carry professional indemnity insurance and have Enhanced Disclosures from the Criminal Records Bureau (DBS).
Although qualifications and theoretical frameworks are diverse we all share a common goal: to reduce the psychological distress of children and adolescents.
