Therapists working for ‘Child in Time’ come from a variety of backgrounds. We currently have art therapists, child psychotherapists and child counsellors on our team.
Our therapists often divide their time between private practices, National Health Services and School-based work. Some of us have a background in teaching and are particularly aware of the pressures that children with significant emotional needs can put on the whole school.
All therapists are qualified and have been trained by organisations offering recognised accreditation for counsellors/therapists. Two of the leading accrediting bodies are the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Art Therapists will be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. All counsellors/therapists carry professional indemnity insurance and have Enhanced Disclosures from the Criminal Records Bureau (DBS).
Although qualifications and theoretical frameworks are diverse we all share a common goal: to reduce the psychological distress of children and adolescents.
If you are a therapist looking for work please get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org. All therapists are paid and fully qualified so we are not able to take on trainee counsellors.
